Yahoo Konfirmasi Pembelian Xoopit

Yahoo kembali melakukan gebrakan dengan membeli Xoopit. Xoopit adalah sebuah perusahaan yang menyediakan teknologi untuk mengelola koleksi foto di sistem surat elektronik Yahoo. "Teknologi Xoopit membantu pengiriman dan saling berbagi foto melalui surat elektronik dan memungkinkan pengguna mengelola kotak surat sebagai indeks foto," kata Bryan Lamkin, Wakil Presiden Senior Yahoo untuk urusan aplikasi dalam halaman blognya, yang dilansir Reuters, Kamis 23 Juli 2009. Yahoo tidak mengungkapkan harga pembelian perusahaan itu. Namun blog teknologi All Things Digital menyebut nilai kesepakatan mencapai USD20 juta. Hubungan Yahoo dan Xoopit dimulai Desember lalu ketika peluncuran aplikasi "My Photos" di Yahoo! Mail. Selasa 21 Juli lalu Yahoo menyebutkan pendapatan kuartalan dari layanan pencarian iklan jatuh 15 persen dibanding periode yang sama tahun sebelumnya. yahoo ga pernah mau kalah sama Google, mereka terus saja bersaing dan berlomba-lomba memberikan layanan terbaik bagi user.
